NP Maps app offers a comprehensive selection of official National Park Service maps and USGS topos for download on your iOS devices. With over 150 NPS park, recreation area, monument, and preserve maps available, as well as more than 60,000 official US Geological Survey topographic maps covering the entire USA and Island Territories.

With NP Maps app, you can have maps readily accessible anytime, anywhere, for all your travels to parks in the USA. This app is designed to be used in areas with no data service, so it's crucial to download the maps while online for offline use.

The app is user-friendly and intuitive, with maps integrated with Apple Maps for a familiar interface. The visual catalog of map footprints allows you to easily select and install maps along your planned route of travel.

To access unlimited map downloads and remove ads, a subscription can be purchased. The first few map downloads are offered complimentary. The subscription does not auto-renew.

The app offers maps for a wide range of parks, including popular ones like Yosemite, Yellowstone, Zion, and Grand Canyon. Additionally, the app provides maps for national recreation areas, monuments, preserves and reserves, historical parks, seashores, lakeshores, scenic rivers, parkways, and trails.

Note: The app does not come preloaded with maps and requires a WiFi connection for downloading. The downloading queue has a cap of approximately 25 maps. Continued use of GPS running in the background may significantly reduce battery life. The location feature may not function on iPods and Wi-Fi only iPads without GPS hardware.
